Why Chris’s experience matters.
Christopher M. Gallagher, MD, is a practicing medical oncologist with more than 20 years of experience in cancer treatment and clinical research. A graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, he has held leadership roles across breast-cancer research and cancer services within the MedStar Health system.
His experience includes leadership in major clinical-trial programs and physician-directed cancer care. At miRoncol, he guides clinical strategy, study design and the boundary between a screening signal and diagnosis.
That distinction is central to miRoncol’s development philosophy. A relevant signal should create a reason for further clinical investigation, while diagnosis and treatment remain with the appropriate medical team.
“NGS preserves the possibilities. PCR provides the focus. Longitudinal data creates the history.”
