miRoncol Diagnostics Ltd. is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy legislation.

Information we collect

We collect information that you choose to provide through our waitlist, research-interest, contact, publication and other website forms. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, location, organization, professional role and interests.

Please do not submit personal medical information through general website forms. Information collected through a clinical or research program may be governed by additional consent materials and privacy notices.

How we use information

• To respond to requests and provide requested materials.
• To administer waitlists, research-interest lists, contests and communications.
• To maintain, secure and improve our websites and services.
• To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell or rent identifiable personal information for advertising, insurance or employment purposes. We may disclose information to service providers for documented purposes, with valid authorization, in a corporate transaction subject to purpose, confidentiality and security restrictions, or where permitted or required by law.

Consent and communications

Where consent is required, the relevant form explains what you are agreeing to. Marketing consent is optional and may be withdrawn at any time by using an unsubscribe link or contacting us. Clinical care, optional research, external individual-level research sharing, future clinical analyses and marketing are separate purposes and are not automatically authorized by joining a waitlist or purchasing a service.

Safeguards and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and purpose of the information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Retention varies by record category. Clinical, laboratory, financial, safety, audit and legal records may have mandatory retention periods. Information remaining temporarily in protected backups is not returned to active use and expires under the applicable backup schedule.

Website security and service providers

Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish people from automated submissions. Google may process device and network information under its own privacy terms when the CAPTCHA loads or is completed. We also use a short-lived, keyed security fingerprint to slow repeated submissions; the raw IP address is not stored with the public form submission.

Service providers that support hosting, email delivery, website security and other operations may process information on our behalf, including in jurisdictions outside Canada. Information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Research, specimens and future analyses

Optional research or longer-term specimen storage requires a separate notice and any consent required by law. Withdrawal applies prospectively and may not remove information already used lawfully in completed analyses, publications or prior authorized disclosures. A future clinical analysis is never automatic and requires its own readiness review, disclosure and authorization.

Corporate transactions

A merger, financing, reorganization, insolvency proceeding or sale of assets does not expand the permitted purposes for using personal information. A successor receiving information must be bound to applicable law and the permissions and restrictions that applied when the information was collected. A materially different use requires any consent required by law.

Your choices

You may request access to or correction of personal information in our control, withdraw consent for optional future uses, close an account, or request deletion of eligible information, subject to legal and professional retention limits.
