OTTAWA, Canada & BERLIN, Germany, June 1, 2026 — miRoncol Health announced a collaboration with YEARS concerning the planned evaluation and introduction of miCheckup, a microRNA multi-disease screening service, for eligible YEARS clients in Berlin. Availability, eligibility and final service details remain subject to the applicable clinical, laboratory and regulatory pathway.
The 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine recognized the discovery of microRNA and its role in gene regulation. It did not evaluate or endorse miRoncol, miCheckup, YEARS or any product.
miRoncol studies whether patterns across circulating microRNAs can support risk assessment. Peer-reviewed retrospective studies support the research approach but do not establish prospective population-screening performance or guarantee earlier detection for an individual.
Any service offered through the collaboration will be described using its then-current intended use, evidence, limitations, clinical pathway and applicable terms. Planned future applications involving cardiovascular, metabolic or neurodegenerative conditions remain research and development objectives unless and until separately validated and offered.
