OTTAWA, Canada & BERLIN, Germany, June 1, 2026, miRoncol Health today announced a partnership with YEARS, one of Europe’s most advanced preventive medicine clinics, to bring its flagship test, miCheckUp, a microRNA Multi-Disease Screening (MMDS) test, to YEARS’ clients in Berlin. The collaboration marks the first step in miRoncol’s European journey.
The science behind miCheckUp was recognized by the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, awarded for the discovery of microRNA, small molecules that regulate gene expression and carry early signals of disease, often years before symptoms appear.
Every cell in the body releases microRNA, carrying signals about what is working, what is stressed, and what is beginning to go wrong. These signals are present in the blood long before conventional diagnostics can detect a problem. miCheckUp is built to read them.
YEARS already operates one of the most comprehensive preventive diagnostic protocols on the continent, including whole-body MRI, a panel of more than 230 biomarkers, and a full functional workup. Through the partnership, miCheckUp will join that diagnostic stack as a new layer of resolution, beginning with multi-cancer detection.
Over time, the companies plan to expand the collaboration across the four pillars of chronic disease: cancer, cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurodegenerative.
