miRoncol Health is proud to share that our CEO and co-founder, Victoria Xu, was named one of five recipients of the 2025 City of Ottawa Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards. The awards were presented on November 7, 2025 at a ceremony at Carleton University, hosted by the City of Ottawa in partnership with TiE Ottawa.
The Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards recognize business leaders who were born outside of Canada and now call Ottawa home, celebrating their contributions to the city’s economy and entrepreneurial culture. Since the awards were established in 2012, more than 50 entrepreneurs have been honoured.
Victoria immigrated from China and co-founded miRoncol Health, an Ottawa-based healthtech company developing an AI-powered blood test for early cancer warning through routine health checkups. Her work aims to improve health outcomes by enabling earlier cancer detection and intervention to reduce the burden of late-stage diagnoses. With global experience in health and technology and advanced degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Public Management, Victoria has also founded a cleantech company and is an active angel investor. Through Capital Angel Network and SheBoot, she champions women-led startups and helps strengthen Ottawa’s innovation ecosystem.
Victoria was honoured alongside fellow 2025 recipients Alberto Aguilar (Plantaform Technology Inc.), Marie Boursiquot (Ottawa Home Care), Omar Gaber (Chewy Puff Cookie – Youth Award), and Roldan Pinilla Guerrero (The TGI Group Ottawa).
